Volunteer Director Role –
Yr Ardd CIC (Community Garden in Pont-Tyweli, Llandysul)

Yr Ardd is your local community garden—a place to grow food, friendships, and a future rooted in care, sustainability, and community. Since 2021, Yr Ardd has thrived with the support of local people who believe in access to fresh produce, volunteering opportunities, and using Welsh in everyday life.
We’re now looking for new Volunteer Directors to help lead and support our exciting future.

Could this be you?

  • Do you want to make a meaningful difference in your community?
  • Do you have experience running a business or organisation, managing people, or working in a leadership role?
  • Do you care about food justice, the environment, and community wellbeing?
  • We’re particularly keen to hear from people who live locally and want to bring their skills and time to help Yr Ardd grow.

The Director role includes:

  • Making collective decisions with fellow directors
  • Helping manage finances, people, and compliance responsibilities
  • Supporting volunteers and garden development
  • Attending monthly open meetings and visiting the garden
  • Working to uphold inclusive, safe, and sustainable practices

Full support, guidance, and role flexibility available—no one is expected to know everything. What matters most is your commitment to the values and the community.
