A Welcoming Garden

Tucked away on the outskirts of Pont-Tyweli, just across the river from Llandysul, you’ll find Yr Ardd — a welcoming community garden that offers a peaceful escape from the busyness of everyday life.

Yr Ardd is more than a garden. It’s a place where the local community has come together to create a green space for everyone to enjoy. Even if you don’t have time for gardening, or you’re not someone who loves getting your hands dirty, you can still appreciate the hard work and care that has gone into nurturing this special place. Simply walking through the garden allows you to enjoy the colours, scents, and calm that only nature can provide.

Many visitors come to Yr Ardd when they feel the need for space and peace. It’s a spot to sit quietly, reflect, or just listen to the sounds of birdsong and the rustle of leaves in the breeze. For others, it’s an opportunity to reconnect with nature, to see the seasons change, and to notice the small wonders growing in each corner.

The garden is designed to be welcoming and accessible. A well-laid path runs through the space, making it suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs, so everyone can enjoy exploring.

Opening Hours

Yr Ardd is open during daylight hours, and we ask that visitors treat it with care, so that it remains a haven for all.

Dogs are welcome

If you’d like to bring your dog along, you’re very welcome — but please keep them on a lead and bring dog poo bags. There is a dog waste bin just outside the entrance on Morris Terrace.

Whether you’re a local resident or just passing through, Yr Ardd is worth a visit. Take a little time out of your day, wander among the plants, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the sense of community that has brought this garden to life. Yr Ardd is here for everyone — and everyone is welcome.
